Best of Entrepreneurship series in Pakistan
Preamble
Considering the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, Entrepreneurship is considered as one of the key drivers of economic growth and activity around the world. Pakistan, being one of the fastest-growing economies in Asia, has one of the largest youth populations-with 140 million people below the age of 30. Moreover, it is rapidly growing as a hub for entrepreneurial activity and many emerging and aspiring entrepreneurs have successfully transformed their startups into established businesses.
To energize the entrepreneurial ecosystem, the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture (ICCIA) launched the -Best of Entrepreneurship Series in Pakistan- with the aim to enable entrepreneurs of all stages- whether they have an initial business idea, want to scale up their startups, or explore entrepreneurial opportunities for the future.http://staging.pclinkdev.com/ICCIA/icca-leadership-talks/of-fintech-ecosystem-and-opportunities-in-financial-markets/
With a geographical footprint covering 57 countries, ICCIA aims to enable aspiring students and leading entrepreneurs to share their stories, both locally and internationally. The objective is to provide a conducive platform for young startups, aspiring entrepreneurs, thought leaders, and the youth of Pakistan to share their success stories, inspire start-ups through knowledge sharing and mentorship programs.
ICCIA Initiative:
The first program of this series was held on 2nd December 2021 at ICCIA Headquarters, Karachi, Pakistan. The program had exciting presentations from five leading impact led-enterprises, namely; BYKEA, Asqurr, Penumbra, Bionks and National Incubation Center. With over a hundred attendees, including industry leaders and development organizations as well as students from 16 universities and institutions; namely FPCCI, Board of Investment Pakistan, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Standard Chartered Bank, IBA, Stimulus, SZABIST, DHA Suffa University, Karachi Global Market (KGM), Eden College, IoBM, University of Karachi, Jinnah University for Women, Iqra University, Virtual University, Biz International Today and Entreprenurs.pk.
Impact:
This program provided a conducive platform for young startups, aspiring entrepreneurs, students, thought leaders, and the youth of Pakistan to perceive inspiration from top entrepreneurs, share success stories, network, and learn more about the entrepreneurial ecosystem through knowledge sharing and dialogue.
Best of Entrepreneurship Series in Pakistan:
ICCIA will organize a series of workshops for this initiative, which will be four programs every year, one program in each quarter in the year 2022. In this respect, ICCIA has selected cross cutting themes to highlight leading entrepreneurs in these themes through its program of the Best of Entrepreneurship, which will be organized in major economic cities of Pakistan, such as Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Sialkot and Gujranwala etc.
